Function:

Can only be used with Festool Guide Rails.
Typically, the 13-5/8 inch guide rail extension is connected to 55 inch Festool Guide Rail so 48 inch (4 foot) wide plywood can safely and securely be cut and provide full contact with the guide rail track at the beginning and end of the cut.
When saw starts, the blade should not contact your material.
The guide rail track must be at least 10 inches longer than the cut being performed.
Guide rail must extend at least 6”-7” ahead of the workpiece being cut and 3”-4” past the end of the workpiece being cut. This is done so the blade does not contact the material at the beginning of the cut and track saw’s guide rail cams fully contact the guide rail track at the end of the cut.
