CNC Router - Homebrew

Make/Model

Original machine was custom built by Ron Bean and Tom Gondek at Milwaukee Makerspace. Since it has arrived at The Bodgery it has been rebuilt and modified primarily by Alex Kovell, Tony Roman, and Chris Kaufmann.

Training Required

This is a red tag tool. Tool requires a class before use.

(1) ALM 90130-25-SPA stepper motor (Z-axis)

5.7V, 1.6A, 1.8 degrees/step, current limited - running 24v

(2) Microtel SP-150-24IER power supplies

150 watt, 115vAC/1ph/60Hz 2.5 amp input, 24VDC 6.3 amp outputny

(3) TinyG v8 controller board

Bits

1/4 to 1/8 step down collet. We have a few 1/8” cutting head, 1/8“ shank, chipbreaker bits. Please provide your own bits if you wish to do anything specific or precise.
